For The Records Interactive Documentary, Chicago, IL
Released 2014

Roles on Project:
Designer, Producer

Into Darkness: Explore an ever-growing maze, a metaphorical representation of OCD itself. Literally trapped in the disorder the player must navigate a tainted space as darkness encroaches and the world gets less and less comfortable. The only defense is the ritual, circles walked, five times to keep the darkness at bay.

Perfection: Plays with your perception of beauty and perfection. Build a perfect garden devoid of slugs and weeds and learn that in truth perfection can only be imagined and a garden is only as strong as the life with in.

For The Records is an exploration of mental health in media - with the purpose of sharing specific experiences with mental health issues in the hopes to educate and destigmatize. I acted as designer on ‘Perfection’ a game exploring the difficulty and core of the eating disorder anorexia nervosa. I worked as lead designer on ‘Into Darkness’ building an experience to mirror the struggles one faces while fighting and living with Obsessive Compulsive disorder.
Through the entire project we worked closely with individuals who had direct experience and relied on their feedback and ideas to build both games. For the Records won a Serious Play International conference Silver Award in the ‘Games for Good’ category.
